Paper Pumpkin is going PINK! - Help Stamp Out Breast Cancer

I would like to encourage anyone who has been on the fence about joining Paper Pumpkin to reconsider this month.  For the month of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness month, Stampin'Up! will be donating $1 for every subscription and an additional $1 for NEW subscriptions.  Even if you just sign up for 1 month every dollar counts to help find a cure for this terrible disease.  A personal story...my father-in-law was diagnosed with Breast Cancer about 10 years ago and had to have a mastectomy.   I have 2 daughters and because their grandfather was a carrier - they are at greater risk.  I also have a very close friend who is a survivor as well so this is a very near and dear cause to me.  Because I feel this is so important, I will be giving a gift to everyone who subscribes to paper pumpkin by October 10th (valued between $6 - $10).  Please click on this link: Join My Paper Pumpkin to subscribe.

More info about Paper Pumpkin:  Paper Pumpkin is a kit you receive each month for $19.95 which includes shipping.  Each kit comes with an exclusive Stamp Set, ink, step by step instructions, and all the paper supplies and embellishments you need to make a minimum of 8 projects.  For brand new subscribers, they even send you a free acrylic block with your first kit.  Sometimes they will be cards, sometimes they will be boxes or treat containers.  It is a surprise, but I can assure you they are CUTE!

Please consider joining if only for the month of October.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks,

Cindy

Vintage Leaves

Happy Wednesday and last day of September!

I can't even believe that we are closing out another month already.  I can't seem to grasp how quickly the days are going.  I am so sad to see summer go, but in my area, the temperature is still in the 80's most days, so I can't really get into the Fall spirit.  As much as I love spring and summer, I do have to admit that I love when you get that crisp air and all the leave start changing colors.  After than, you can make is spring again ;o).  This girl DOES NOT LIKE COLD!  So, in the spirit of the Fall season, I have a couple of projects to share with you...

This first project is a little treat box that I made with the idea of using it with a Thanksgiving Place setting.  The idea is that instead of stamping the sentiment, you write your guest's name on the leaf and place it on the table.  You could fill it with a little before or after dinner treat.  Here is the video I posted earlier this week on how I made this box.

My second project is a card that coordinates with the box, but can definitely be used all on it's own.  I love the Leaflets framelits.  They cut the most beautiful shaped leaves.  I stamped the background in Crumbcake ink, put a strip of the Into the Woods DSP in the center and layered onto a piece of Tangelo Twist.  Then I cut the maple leave with Tangelo Twist, stamped it with the Grateful for you Sentiment from For All Things and let it take center stage on the front of my card.  I love how vibrant the colors are in the DSP which ties so nicely with the Tangelo Twist leaf.  Here is a quick video showing how I made this card:

Well, that is all for me today.  As always, all the supplies can be purchased from my online store by clicking the link on the right.  Thanks for stopping by and see you back here soon!

October Stamp of the Month

Hello everyone!  I promise I am trying to be better about posting, but I swear the time just gets away from me.  Does that happen to you?  I know I can't be the only one with WAY TOO MUCH on my plate.

Last week, I sent an email to my online and monthly Stamp Club Members and asked them to vote on October's Stamp Set.  There were four choices: For all Things, Thankful Forest Friends, Reason for the Season and Flurry of Wishes.  I welcomed the transfer of decision making as I was really having a hard time deciding which set to use.  I was shocked at how many actually chose the Thankful Forest Friends and how few chose a Christmas set.  I was certain that everyone would want to start in on Christmas.  So with out further ado....our October Featured stamp will be Thankful Forest Friends.

No Samples to sneak peek yet.  I didn't actually have this set so once my order comes in, I will post the sneak peek and additional supplies needed.

If you are interested in joining my online or monthly in-person Stamp of the Month Club, please let me know and I would be happy to add you to the distribution list and give you all the details.  I might even be offering a discount to new members.  Be sure to email me for details.

Also, my holiday card series will be starting in just a couple of weeks.  I am so excited about this year's stamps and can't wait to get started!

Thanks,

Cindy

Holiday Weekend and a Little Treat Box (5 days late!)

Some how this didn't go out on Friday (I had the date listed wrong in the scheduler - YIKES)

Happy FRIDAY!  I don't know about you, but I am so glad today if Friday AND a long holiday weekend.  Between the kids going back to school, supplies, homework, and soccer practices, this mama is WIPED OUT!  I am gratefully looking forward to an opportunity to just relax.  I feel like I haven't seen my husband or sat down to a family meal in over a week!  I miss him!  Yuck - I got all mushy on you - sorry.

So, onto today's project.  I wanted to give the kids a little something special today for making it through the first week back to school.  I didn't want it too big, because I don't believe in sending my kids to school with unhealthy snacks, but I thought a "little" treat today was necessary.

I used the Cherry on Top DSP and the Barnyard Babies Stamp Set again for the sentiment - "Hogs and Kisses" which I thought was very fitting since the little box contains Hershey "KISSES," he he (sometimes I just crack myself up).   The box is a quick little project that only takes a 1/4 of a sheet paper so you can 4 of these little cuties from one sheet of cardstock.  Here is a little video I made showing you how to create these.

I hope you all have a relaxing and enjoyable weekend!  I will be back next week with another set of new projects.

Thanks,

Cindy

Reason for the Season

I am so excited that the Holiday Catalog is now LIVE!  I do however apologize that my first project is a Christmas Card. I mean really it is only September, but if you are like me, if you don't get started now, they will never get done in time to send out in December.  Plus this card is one I created for a Christmas Card Swap I am participating in with some fellow demonstrators.

So a quick story...when I first looked through the new catalog, this was the first set that made me stop flipping the pages.  I fell in love with the coordinating punch first (Festive Flower).  As soon as I received my first Pre-Order shipment I made the 3D poinsettia and was just in awe of it.  Call me odd, but there is just something about 3D elements and their wow factor.  So I just new that this set was going to be making it's debut first.  Here is a video on how I made this card.

If you haven't seen the new catalog yet, What are you waiting for?  It is truly lovely and I really had to be mindful of what I ordered and didn't.  If I could have ordered the whole thing I would have!

Have a great day!

Cindy
